Meet Leann Westmorland
Leann joined JS Parker in 2019 as a Case Manager and has since been appointed as our Regional Manager for the Manchester office where she provides rehabilitation and case management to complex injury clients including spinal cord and brain injury. Leann is a very experienced registered general nurse with more than 21 years’ experience working in adult services in the community and hospital settings. Leann qualified in January 1999 and is a supplementary nurse prescriber and practitioner, after completing Masters modules in prescribing, clinical examination and clinical diagnostics in 2010. In 2004 Leann successfully achieved a 1st class honours degree in Psychology, also a passion of hers. Leann combines a holistic approach to healthcare with a drive to ensure the best possible outcomes for her patients/ clients. Leann brings to the role of case manager extensive experience of working in the NHS, community working along with NHS, and private sector research. She has managed a caseload of clients with complex health conditions including MS, MND, Huntingtons, Dystonia, Parkinsons Disease, Dementia, Alzheimers, and then in later years TBI and spinal trauma as a nurse specialist Neurology and Neurosurgery at Liverpool’s famous Walton Centre. Leann has many years’ experience of undertaking care assessments, care planning and training and managing packages of complex care for clients within the community setting and being a key member in driving community care provider services forward within the field of spinal and traumatic brain injury in particular. When not in work Leann’s hobbies include; watching psychological thrillers, the outdoors, travelling and foreign cuisine and tattooing individuals with hair loss.
