Cakes, hats and glamour

Our Action for Brain Injury Week

This year, Action for Brain Injury Week has seen our staff getting glammed up, baking, donning their hats and providing useful advice to people affected by brain injury.

Helen Kolster, lead occupational therapist, organised a drop-in event with Headway Newcastle & North Tyneside and Headway Gateshead & South Tyneside – a chance for service users, families and carers to ask professionals for advice. Ellie Clark, rehabilitation assistant, helped out on the day and took part in the Hats for Headway fundraiser.

Our Manchester team raised money for the Head Forward Centre in Manchester with their annual bake sale and raffle – always a hit with the other companies in the vicinity.

In Sheffield, our children and young people's team held a ‘glam day’, with drinks reception after work, and donated money to the Child Brain Injury Trust.
