Hours: 1-2 x 24 hour shifts per week (flexibility required, shifts to be discussed)
Salary: Â£10.72 per hour (weekdays); Â£12.86 per hour (weekends); Â£82.48 per sleep-in shift; double time on bank holidays

About the role:
We are seeking an adaptable and dedicated individual to support a young man with cerebral palsy in Edinburgh.
You will support him on a one to one basis within an established team supporting his independence and engagement in professional sports. Training and supervision will be given. The role requires travel, within the UK and Internationally at times working for long periods whilst away from home.
The role requires flexibility and good teamwork skills to support the client’s schedule and interests. Previous experience in care is not essential provided you have a positive attitude to learning and supporting the client in a person centred way.
JS Parker Ltd (JSP) provides an essential service to both adults and children who have suffered brain and spinal injury. Qualified staff assess clients’ needs and offer individually designed case management and rehabilitation programmes. The company was established in 1994 and is now a successful rehabilitation and case management consultancy, working in close co-operation with the legal profession. We now have five offices employing around 80 staff. We manage over 400 support workers and provide services to just under 400 clients nationally.
JSP is not an agency. Recruitment of staff for small, personalised care teams is part of our case management service and is undertaken on behalf of individuals using this service.
- Full Drivers Licence and the ability to travel
- Good communication and ability to take direction from the client
- Flexible and work well under pressure
- Experience of supporting someone in their own home
- Confident traveling internationally
- An interest in sports
