Brief description

We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic individual to support a young man with cognitive support needs in Dundee.

You will support him on a one to one basis within an established Multidisciplinary team supporting his independence and engagement in activities. Condition specific training and supervision will be provided. The role requires overnight support from time to time, approximately once a month, and may involve travel away from Dundee.

The role requires flexibility and good teamwork skills to support the client’s independence and interests. Previous experience in care is not essential provided you have a positive attitude to learning and supporting the client in a person centred way.

About us:

JS Parker Ltd (JSP) provides an essential service to both adults and children who have suffered brain and spinal injury. Qualified staff assess clients’ needs and offer individually designed case management and rehabilitation programmes. The company was established in 1994 and is now a successful rehabilitation and case management consultancy, working in close co-operation with the legal profession. We now have five offices employing around 80 staff. We manage over 400 support workers and provide services to just under 400 clients nationally.

JSP is not an agency. Recruitment of staff for small, personalised care teams is part of our case management service and is undertaken on behalf of individuals using this service.


About you:


  • Full Drivers Licence
  • Confidence using a smart phone and being with the family dog
  • Flexible and work well under pressure


  • Experience of supporting someone in their own home
  • Experience of supporting someone with a brain injury
  • An interest in films and playing instruments
